How to read a solution so it makes you better

Every walkthrough here is generated by the same solver that grades our puzzles. It replays the board from an empty grid, one forced mark at a time, and names the deduction behind each one — region confined to a row, two-option squeeze, virtual star, row complete. Step through it with the Next button, or read the full written list underneath. Nothing is skipped and nothing is guessed, so if the solution gets from where you were to where you couldn't, the move exists.

Don't read the whole thing. Step forward until the solution's board stops matching yours — the first X or star it has that you don't. That single step is the lesson: it is the one deduction you missed, and nine times out of ten it is a technique you'll recognise from the strategy guide. Read that step, close the solution, and finish the board yourself. That is how the move sticks.

Solutions unlock the day after a puzzle is published, because the boards are timed and live for a full day. So if you are stuck on today's, the most useful thing here is yesterday's board at the same difficulty — same tier, same kinds of moves — as a warm-up for the one you're on. More boards by tier: easy, medium, hard or expert.
