What is Two Not Touch?
Two Not Touch is a pure-logic puzzle. You're given a grid divided into irregular outlined regions, and your job is to place stars so that:
- every row has exactly two stars,
- every column has exactly two stars,
- every region has exactly two stars, and
- no two stars touch — not horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
That last rule is where the name comes from: place your two stars, but never let them touch. New to it? Our how to play guide walks through a full solve step by step. Once the rules click, the strategy guide covers every solving technique from beginner to expert.
You will see the same puzzle under other names. Competition solvers call it Star Battle; searchers type it as two no touch or 2 not touch; one app publishes it as Stars. All the same grid, all the same logic — so anything you learn here works everywhere.

Come from the paper? Newspaper Two Not Touch is usually a 10×10 grid. Our dailies above are 9×9 with the identical two-star rules — and the newspaper-shaped boards are right below.
